January 2009 Newsletter Issue #006

In this issue:

  • Skiing Activities

  • Other winter sports such as skating, snowmobiling, etc.

  • Looking for something different to do?

It's the middle of winter and there's loads to do.  Mother nature has been generous so far this season.  With several storms already blanketing the area, more are expected to come.

Skiing

Skiing conditions are fantastic up here in the NH Lakes Region.  Whether you like to downhill ski, cross-country ski, snowshoe, sled or ice skate, the Lake Winnipesaukee area has enough to offer everyone.

Check out my page on downhill skiing for some great information on ski programs.  If you're more into cross-country skiing, you'll want to find out where there are groomed trails in this area.

 Other Winter Sports

If you're interested in skating, whether it's hockey, figure skating or just for fun, you'll find all kinds of information on my ice skating page.

Don't forget snowmobiling and ice fishing in the Lake Winnipesaukee area.  The "Great Rotary Fishing Derby" is coming up.

Local Events

If you're getting tired of these activities, there are several local events that will keep you going through the rest of the winter.

Of course, if you know of other winter activities I should add to the local events page, by all means, contact me and let me know.

Enjoy the Winter!
